LABORATORY AND DIAGNOSTICS
Arizona Aquaculture Solutions is a service laboratory providing specialized microbiological and chemical testing. Offering a broad range of analyses, we can meet the needs of clients ranging from commercial aquaculture operations, local and national retailers, to individual aquarium owners. Having been involved in the development of rearing technologies for numerous marine ornamental species, we remain at the cutting edge of this field and are proud of our accomplishments in making the marine hobby more environmentally responsible.
Specializing in the analysis of marine pathogens, we offer detection services that range from periodic monitoring of overall bacterial load to specific identification of pathogens including Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio vulnificus, Escherichia coli, Aeromonas, and Mycobacterium marinum. Parasites such as Amyloodinium and Cryptocaryon can also be detected. On-site research is currently underway to develop vaccines against these scourges.
